Vermiculite

It is a mineral of laminar structure, related to mica, expanded at 900º C. When the water contained between layers evaporates, the heat makes them explode in many thin layers with a great amount of air between them. Physically balanced and non-aggressive, chemically inert and biologically aseptic, it is a highly recommended element for adding to the soil mix. Provides ventilation and lightness to the soil.
