Mexico, state of Hidalgo.
Description: The species presents axonomorfic
root and grows squashed on the ground, showing just a few
centimeters.
The stem is grayish green color and about 8 cm. wide. It is
covered by rhomboidal tubercles arranged in spiral and very
close to each other.
The ribs are between 12 and 18 in adult plants.
Spines are silky and can be 4 or 5.
The flowers are white.
Growing tips: The plant does not resist
cold well and requires full sun. Propagation is made by seeds. |
