Place of origin: East of Brazil.

Description: Epiphytic plant which forms tight hanging groups, formed by numerous, thin stems.
The main stem is extended and of cylindrical shape, with articles arranged one after another, of between 10 and 15 cm. long and 2 or 3 mm. wide. They are of shining green color and have small areolas, which produce numerous aerial roots with which they absorb the environmental humidity.
The flowers are very small, measure less than 1 cm. wide, appear generally near the end of articles and are of white color.
The fruits are spherical, of about 5 mm. wide and white color.

Growing tips: Requires elevated environmental humidity. Propagation is made by cuttings.
