| Place of origin:
Mexico, North of the state of Coahuila.
Description: The plant presents solitary
stem of dark green color, sometimes a little reddish up to
25 cm. of high and about 15 cm. wide.
The tubercles are many, thin and elongated, of about 5 mm.
long and 1.5 mm. wide.
The areolas appear at the end of the tubercles and are very
small and white.
The root is heavy and napiform.
The flowers are magenta.
Growing tips: This plant grows better in
a slightly more basic soil. It requires plenty of light but
not full sun. Watering must be more frequent than other cactaceae. |
