Puebla and Oaxaca, Mexico
Description: The species presents globular
stem, of dark green color measuring up to 9 cm. high and 10
cm. wide. It usually appears solitary, but it can be found
with some offsets too.
There are different varieties, some of them with more or less
wool on apex.
Spines are white.
The flowers appear abundantly forming a crown around apex.
They are dark pink.
The fruits are red.
Growing tips: The species grows better with
partial shade but also does OK at full sun.
Propagation is made by seeds. |
