Gymnocalycium denudatum

Place of origin: From the south of Brazil to the Northeast of Argentina and through Uruguay and Paraguay.

Description: The plant shows globular stem, of about 10 cm. wide.
The ribs are wide and little prominent, they are arranged in number of between 5 and 8.
Areolas are slightly felted and present between 1 and 5 radial, thin spines, of yellow color, twisted and directed towards the sides or downwards and of approximately 1.5 cm. long.
The flowers are of white color and show thin tube. There is a variety called roseiflorum, with flowers of pink color.

Growing tips: propagation is made by rooting offsets. It resists low temperatures well, but not intense cold.
