Echinopsis
The Echinopsis genus contains a great amount of species, as well as
hybrids in culture. Recently some authors included the genus Lobivia,
Trichocereus, Pseudolobivia, Soehrensia and Helianthocereus within
the Echinopsis genus, so the number of species would go up to around
120.
This genus prefer full sun and tempered climates, but in warmer climates
prefer partial shade.
Echinopsis plans are propagated by seeds or cuttings.
