Mexico, state of Hidalgo.
Description: The stem is dark green, globular
when plant is young, and up to 15 cm. high and 8 cm. wide
in older plants.
The ribs are about 26 or 35, have the edge very acute, they
are thin and regularly undulated. Older specimens can show
a greater number of ribs.
The areolas are white, oval and are very separated to each
other about 3 or 4 cm. They have some wool but they become
naked soon.
Radial spines are 7 or 8. Upper ones are flat, yellow, and
about 2 cm. Lower ones are white and about 1 cm.
There is a single central spine of about 2 cm.
The flowers are about 3.5 cm., have the external segments
of white color and the internal ones of clear red color.
