| Place of origin:
Center of Mexico, state of Hidalgo.
Description: The plant shows depressed spherical
stem, of about 7 cm. high and 10 cm. wide. Usually appears
very clumped with basal offsets.
The tubercles are of conical-cylindrical shape. They are about
2.5 cm. long, and are quite irregular in their disposition.
Apical areolas shows about 3 or 6 yellow radial spines, of
1.5 cm. long. They are thin, straight or a little twisted.
Flowers are yellow and about 3.5 cm. wide.
Growing tips: This plant is easy to grow,
but it requires very well drained soil.
Propagation is made by rooting basal offsets or by seeds. |
