Cephalocereus
Cephalocereus genera have about 5 species of very slow growing
columnar cactus, original of Mexico. It used to be a genera with
more species (Britton & Rose mentions 48), but most of them
have been transferred to Pilosocereus. The Cephalocereus name derives
from Greek since cephalium is remarkably thickened.
Flowers have funnel shape and grows from cephalium.
Propagation is made by seeds or cuttings.
