Place of origin: States of Tamaulipas and San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Description: The plant shows subglobular brownish/green colored stem, flat in the superior part. It size is between 2 and 6 cm. height and between 4 and 8 cm. wide.
The tubercles are divergent, often soft and nonturgid, acute towards apex, flattened axially. They are between 3 and 7 cm. length and 5 and 12 mm. wide.
The areolas appear approximately located to about 5 mm. at the end of tubercles, they are cleared and they measure between 2 and 5 mm wide.
Spines are absent or they appear of about 3 mm in length.
The flowers are white and measure between 3 and 5 cm. wide.
The fruit is pink or reddish, of globose, although slightly elongated, form and about 20 mm length and between 5 and 12 mm. wide.

Growing tips: Requires well drained, porous, light substrate. Clay pots are prefered.
The propagation is made by seed. As with the other species of this genera, this plant grows slowly.
